Room Service Coordinator

  • Accurately take guest orders by means of phone, ensure that guest name, room number, time of order and delivery timings are clearly registered in the log.
  • Input orders in micros and issues guest check for each order. Ensure all special/dietary and or allergy restrictions are well explained to the kitchen via micros and inform the manager or Chef on duty.
  • Make knowslegable recommendations and suggestions regarding all menu items.
  • Monitor guest orders and ensure all guest orders are delivered within the quotes time.
  • Coordinator with guest services and Service staff for amentity deliveries and follow up with rooms divison for any changes, cancellations or do not disturb rooms.
  • Responsible for payment and charges.
  • High school education preferred; will need basic reading skills and understanding
  • One or two years' previous experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
  • Appropriately groomed for work.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand and bend would be required
  • Ability to use micros computer system

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
