SWalker is seeking an experienced, polished professional as our Sales Representative (Eastern Long Island/Hamptons/Montauk) to take his or her career to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Strategize with sales manager on monthly sales and merchandising objectives; Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales growth in line with stated overall sales goalsCall on accounts and cover daily routes by creating an established and efficient routing patternDevelop new business and maintain existing Customer and trade relationships; Analyze account base to identify opportunities and discuss product needs through a relationship-based approachEnsure maximum brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account account KPIs as determined by management and using effective and current point of sale materials when appropriateHold weekly in-person review with each customer account for items to be replenished; Present all current programs, goal items, and company initiatives; Quote prices, answer customer questions about products, and emphasize product featuresPrepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers by balancing the company's priorities and customer's needs to include selling displays, merchandising, menu concepts, new products, well and back bar placements, drink and wine lists, and in location promotionsMaintain customer records, prepare sales materials, and submit orders for processing; Communicate with Management on all sales opportunities/concerns, inventory levels and out of stock situations due to possible fluctuations in demand; work with national account team for program complianceCollaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing informationStay current and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of wine varietals and international wines in addition to all MSWalker products, including current prices, vintages, regional identity, awards and press- establish personal industry networks.
Educate customer and account staff on priority brands by administering educational staff training seminarsRemains informed of company/supplier activities and updates by attending and actively participating in weekly sales meetingsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededRequirementsSuccessful completion of a customized, paid 3-4 week in field training and immersion to learn MSW sales processMinimum 5 years' experience in fine-wine wholesale distribution and/or importing, specifically in the Eastern Long Island/Hamptons/Montauk areasSuperior wine and spirits knowledge combined with a commitment to continuous improvement in all facets of our businessEffective self-management skills, specifically time management and territory call planningGoal oriented; strong work ethic; positive mental attitude; team playerOutstanding relationship building and selling skills a mustExcellent organization, follow-up, and communication skillsExisting account relationships in the designated territoryAbility to walk, sit, stand, reach overhead and lift up to 45lbsValid driver's license requiredSalary:
